NOFO Long Island
Summer Spots on the North Fork
First Stop:
Goldberg’s Bagels in Mattituck, NY.
Four Generations strong- built in 1949. The line is worth the wait, I promise!
Take your bagels and head to a dead end road to check out the views of the Peconic Bay.
Second Stop:
Patty’s Berries
June is Strawberry Season on the East End. At Patty’s, you can pick your own for only $7 a quart. Make sure you try the homemade ice cream while you’re there!
Third Stop:
Head down the road to NOFODOCO also known as North Fork Doughnut Company.
Warm, fluffy doughnuts made from scratch. Did somebody say lemon blueberry & peanut butter cup??
Fourth Stop:
Be sure to stop at Woodside Orchards for a growler of their famous cider. Find flavors such as pineapple, cinnamon, sweet, dry, raspberry and ginger.
Fifth Stop:
Peconic River Herb Farm, AKA the gardener’s paradise!
LAST STOP:
Find a LOCAL BEACH to enjoy your treats. We chose Long Beach in Nissequogue, NY. This is a Town of Smithtown Beach so you must be a resident, however Sunken Meadow is always a great option if you are heading West. Click the Link for the ideal beach table.
